Throttle Spindle Shaft early WEBER 45 DCOE complete set repair kit$ 116.7 ‹ › ‹ › ‹ › Part number: ST3699Made in: EUIncludes:Throttle Spindle Shaft Early Weber 45 DCOE Complete Set Repair Kit This repair kit is for early Weber 45 DCOE carburetors using 78° throttle valves, including types 13 and 96–97. The throttle spindle transfers linkage movement to the throttle plates, controlling airflow through the primary throttle circuit, progression range, and full-throttle opening. Wear at the spindle, bearings, or seals can contribute to air leakage, inconsistent idle control, uneven throttle response, and imprecise plate synchronization. The kit includes 45 mm throttle valves, a pump cam with pin, bearings, leather seals, springs, lock tabs, nuts, and the related fastening hardware needed during spindle service. MPN 10005.447 The throttle-valve screws and spindle assembly must be installed with the plates correctly centered in the bores so they close evenly without binding. The shaft-to-bearing connection is intended to be a press or interference fit. During assembly, use a hydraulic or mechanical press with a tube or pipe sleeve that applies force to the bearing inner race rather than the rolling elements. Freezing the spindle overnight can reduce its diameter temporarily and ease installation; heating the bearing in hot oil is an optional complementary step. Lubricate the shaft before fitting. If the shaft remains loose in the bearing, a suitable retaining compound such as Loctite may help fill the clearance, provided the product is appropriate for the measured fit. This replacement part is suitable for carburetor service and restoration work where the original component is worn, damaged, or missing. Reference/MPN: 10005.447. Important Fitment Note Verify that the carburetor is an early Weber 45 DCOE using 78° throttle valves and compare the carburetor type marking with types 13 or 96–97. Check the spindle length and geometry, throttle-plate diameter and angle, screw-hole alignment, bearing and bore interface, seal arrangement, pump-cam connection, and the thread and fastening style of the supplied hardware. Compare the replacement parts directly with the removed spindle, valves, bearings, and linkage components before disassembly. Confirm the shaft-to-bearing fit and throttle-plate seating against the removed parts before pressing the assembly together; a loose or incorrect interface can affect alignment and throttle operation. What you see is what you getShow all parts
