WEBER 32/36 DGV/DGAV/DGEV and 38 DGAS/DGES Choke Shaft – MPN 10020.221

This choke shaft operates the choke butterfly in the upper section of compatible Weber carburetors. It transfers movement from the choke linkage or actuator to the choke plate, controlling the additional fuel enrichment and restricted airflow required during cold starting and warm-up.

A bent, worn, or binding shaft can prevent the choke plate from opening or closing correctly. This may contribute to difficult cold starting, poor warm-up behavior, excessive enrichment, or an inconsistent transient response while the choke is being released. For Weber DGV/DGAV/DGEV and DGAS/DGES carburetors

Use this part during carburetor service when the original shaft has damaged ends, excessive play, corrosion, or restricted rotation. Choke plate, retaining hardware, and external actuator components are not included unless separately specified.

This replacement part is suitable for carburetor service and restoration work where the original component is worn, damaged, or missing.

Reference/MPN: 10020.221.

Technical role: Operates the choke butterfly in Weber 32/36 DGV, DGAV, DGEV and 38 DGAS/DGES carburetors.
Service relevance: A bent, worn or binding shaft can cause incorrect choke movement, difficult cold starting, poor warm-up or excessive enrichment.

What Is Included

Weber choke shaft, MPN 10020.221

Important Fitment Note

Verify the carburetor family and model code before ordering: 32/36 DGV, DGAV, DGEV, 38 DGAS, or 38 DGES. Compare the shaft end profile, choke-linkage interface, plate attachment area, shaft position, and overall geometry with the removed part. Also check that the original choke plate and retaining arrangement are suitable for reuse with the replacement shaft. Confirm the MPN 10020.221 and physical interface against the existing shaft before installation.
