WEBER 48 DCOE Main Venturi Choke Tube 38/40/42 mm
This main venturi, also called a choke tube, fits the WEBER 48 DCOE carburetor and is available in 38 mm, 40 mm, or 42 mm sizing. The venturi establishes the airflow restriction and signal used by the carburetor’s main circuit, directly influencing fuel draw, high-load metering, and the transition from progression into main-circuit operation. Selecting a different venturi size changes the airflow signal and should be matched to the engine’s airflow demand and existing calibration.
Price is for one main venturi. Select the required 38 mm, 40 mm, or 42 mm size and leave the choice in the order message. MPN 72117.
Attention!
This part is designed for the genuine WEBER 48 DCOE pattern only. It is not compatible with WEBER DCO/SP carburetors.
Some Chinese-manufactured carburetors are marked and sold as 48, 50, or 55 DCOE, but they are DCO/SP. For this reason, this venturi will not fit Chinese carburetors marked “48 DCOE” if they are in fact built to the 48 DCO/SP specification.
Please confirm the carburetor body design and venturi seating dimensions before ordering.
This replacement part is suitable for carburetor service and restoration work where the original component is worn, damaged, or missing.
Reference/MPN: 72117.
Technical role: Main venturi choke tube for WEBER 48 DCOE carburetors, available in 38 mm, 40 mm, or 42 mm sizes to set the main-circuit airflow restriction and signal.
Service relevance: The selected venturi size influences fuel draw, high-load metering, and progression-to-main-circuit transition according to engine airflow demand and existing calibration.
What Is Included
- One WEBER 48 DCOE main venturi choke tube, in the selected 38 mm, 40 mm, or 42 mm size
- Made in EU.
Important Fitment Note
Verify the carburetor family and body marking before purchase: this part is for WEBER 48 DCOE only, not DCO/SP. Check the carburetor’s code and markings, confirm the venturi interface and seating geometry, and compare the outer diameter with the removed part. The DCOE interface uses a 48 mm outer diameter, while DCO/SP uses 55 mm. Also compare the replacement with the original venturi for overall shape, seating location, and any locating features.
Do not rely on a 48 DCOE marking alone when inspecting FAJS or Chinese carburetors; verify the actual body and removed-part interface.
