WEBER 40/46/48 IDA Carburetor Brass Float Replacement

This brass float is used in the fuel bowl of Weber 40/46/48 IDA carburetors to control fuel level through the float-and-needle-valve system. As fuel enters the bowl, float movement regulates the needle valve and helps maintain the calibrated fuel level required by the main circuit, progression circuit, and enrichment systems.

Part number 41015.007 Correct float operation is essential for stable fuel-level control. A damaged, fuellogged, bent, or incorrectly matched float can contribute to flooding, fuel starvation, poor transient response, inconsistent mixture strength, or fuel-level variation between carburetor barrels. Inspect the hinge, float movement, needle-valve contact point, and bowl clearance during installation, then set the float according to the applicable Weber IDA service procedure.

This replacement part is suitable for carburetor service and restoration work where the original component is worn, damaged, or missing.

Reference/MPN: 41015.007.

Technical role: Brass fuel-bowl float for Weber 40/46/48 IDA carburetors, regulating fuel level through the needle-valve system.
Service relevance: A damaged, fuel-logged, bent, or mismatched float can contribute to flooding, fuel starvation, and inconsistent fuel levels between barrels.

What Is Included

One brass carburetor float, part number 41015.007

Important Fitment Note

Verify that the carburetor is from the Weber 40/46/48 IDA family and confirm the identification or code marking before purchase. Compare the replacement float with the removed part for overall profile, hinge and pivot geometry, needle-valve contact location, and clearance within the float bowl. If the float system uses a separate replaceable needle valve, also verify the related thread, seat style, and interface before assembly.

Compare the removed float directly with this part and confirm the correct float-level procedure for your specific IDA configuration before installation.
