AIR CORRECTOR JET 120-250 WEBER DCOE IDF

This air corrector jet is used in the upper section of the Weber DCOE, IDF, and IDA carburetor main circuit, where it meters the air bleed entering the emulsion tube. Its calibration influences the fuel curve as engine speed and airflow increase, making the correct jet size important for high-speed mixture control, progression into the main circuit, and overall carburetor tuning.

These jets are manufactured in the EU and have been developed for broad compatibility across original and aftermarket carburetor components. The jet profile has been specifically adapted to work with original Italian Weber emulsion tubes, later Spanish-produced Weber components, aftermarket replacements, and commonly used Chinese-manufactured systems including FAJS, Reedmoral, EMPI, HPMX and similar designs. The geometry has been carefully selected to provide reliable fit and function across the widest practical range of compatible emulsion-tube configurations.

For improved consistency, the jets are machined and calibrated on the same production machine rather than being mixed from multiple machines or unrelated production batches. This helps maintain highly consistent dimensions and calibration from one jet to another, which is especially important when matching components across multiple carburetor barrels.

Each jet features a clearly visible black size marking for easier identification during installation, tuning and future carburetor servicing.

MPN 77401 is supplied in the listed size options from 120 through 250.

This replacement part is suitable for carburetor tuning, service and restoration work where accurate calibration, repeatability and compatibility with different emulsion-tube designs are important.

Reference/MPN: 77401.

Technical role: Air corrector jet for the upper main circuit of Weber DCOE, IDF and compatible carburetors, metering air entering the emulsion tube.

Service relevance: Its selected size influences the high-speed fuel curve as engine airflow and RPM increase. In general, a larger air corrector introduces more air into the emulsion circuit and tends to lean the mixture toward the upper RPM range, while a smaller air corrector tends to retain a richer mixture. Final calibration depends on the complete carburetor and engine setup.

Tuning Tips

Air corrector changes should normally be evaluated after the main jet, venturi size, fuel level and basic carburetor setup are already close to correct. The air corrector has its strongest influence as airflow and engine speed increase, so changes should be assessed under consistent higher-RPM and load conditions rather than from idle behaviour alone.

As a general tuning principle, increasing the air corrector size tends to lean the mixture progressively toward higher RPM, while decreasing the size tends to make the upper part of the fuel curve richer. Make changes in small steps and adjust only one component at a time so that the effect can be evaluated clearly.

When tuning multi-carburetor installations, use matching air corrector sizes in corresponding barrels and verify that main jets, emulsion tubes, float levels, fuel pressure, ignition timing and venturi sizes are consistent. A wideband lambda/AFR meter is strongly recommended for accurate mixture evaluation.

Important Fitment Note

Fitment can vary by carburetor family, production version, emulsion-tube design and engine setup. Please compare your current part and verify the carburetor model, dimensions, thread/interface, seating arrangement and required calibration before ordering.

The jet geometry has been designed for broad compatibility with original Italian and Spanish Weber components as well as FAJS, Reedmoral, EMPI, HPMX and other aftermarket configurations. Please compare the replacement directly with the removed jet before installation.

Verification checklist: Confirm the carburetor family, emulsion-tube arrangement and required air-corrector size from 120 through 250 for MPN 77401.
